The final countdown to the Oscars has begun with  announcement of the nominees. So The Wolfman is Oscar nominated. The King’s Speech leads the nomination count with 12. Then it’s True Grit with 10. Inception and The Social Network have 8.

Award shows in recent months tell us that Colin Firth is a lock for best actor, Natalie Portman for best actress, Christian Bale for supporting actor. And, as is typical, best supporting actress is up in the air. The best director oscar will likely go to David Fincher, with The King’s Speech probably winning best picture.

The Oscars will be presented in Hollywood on February 27. The entire Movie-Moron team will be there in black-tie suits, as special guests of the academy. Probably. Or maybe none of us.

Fans Celebrating ROBO Release

There is massive joy of celebration the arrival of the latest movie of their favourite movie star. All of them indeed are fans of the one & only Superstar- Rajnikanth. There are shows which started as early as 3.30 a.m today in various parts of Tamil Nadu for ‘Endhiran’, Director Shankar’s dream project with Rajnikanth, Aishwarya Rai & Danny Denzongpa in the lead. Combined with the Hindi (Robot) & Telugu (Robo) versions the movie is opening up to a mind boggling 2000 + screens Worldwide.
Today fans did the traditional paal (milk) abhishek for his release in Chennai with opening show at 4:00 a.m. This is just madness. Biggest star in India. 48 of the 50 screens in Chennai are screening Endhiran. It is reported that there are no tickets available for the film for the opening weekend, in any of the Chennai city theatres. Sun Pictures have dispatched all overseas prints by Monday night.

ROBO The Robot Movie Review Plot And Highlights

Super Star Rajinikanth has done it again, that’s multiplied his craze manifold amongst his existing fans and created a whole new lot of fans with his latest man v/s machine super entertainer Endhiran. Touted as a Rs. 160 crore budgeted bonanza making it the costliest ever made Indian film, the sci-fi thriller Robot is a full on paisa vasool entertainer.


PLOT
Scientist Dr. Vasi (Rajinikanth) after years of hard work succeeds in making an andro humanoid named Chitti. Carrying the power of 100 men, Chitti is well trained in every aspect right. Vasi wants to offer him to the Indian Army but rejection comes from Dr.Vohra (Danny) the ex mentor of Vasi who has some devious plans of his own. It is pointed out that Chitti lacks feelings and can go wrong. Vasi therefore reworks the structure of Chitti and adds human emotions to him. But then complications arise as Chitti experiences the emotion of love from Vasi’s fiancée Sana (AishwaryaBachchan). He falls in love with her and begins to disobey Vasi’s commands. Sana just considers him her ‘toy-friend’. Things spiral out of shape after an angry and disappointed Vasi dismantles Chitti.
